Yogi Parker learned about Keto through a trucking radio show called Destination Health, thought it was bupkis, but decided to try it anyway because it was supposedly good for brain health, and I was experiencing some brain issues that were very similar to the symptoms of CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), and it was making me a bit nervous. Keto worked! His symptoms of severe brain fog, short term memory loss, depression and spiraling out of control emotions went away, and to top it all off, he went from 560 lbs to 330lbs of body weight while still being sedentary for most of the day driving. His energy levels skyrocketed and sleep quality dramatically improved!
Yogi has transitioned from being a truck driver and is now studying to become an Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and keto coach. He is also working with Carrie Brown on Amazing Keto and Low Carb Recipes!
Dr. Andy Phung: I chose to become a doctor because I wanted to be able to make a difference and to be a strong advocate for patients' well-being. I prefer to use lifestyle-nutrition interventions as primary treatment for chronic metabolic diseases. I will use prescription medicine, but as second line therapy. I want to help patient find the root causes to their medical problems and fix them over prescribing medicines to "manage" them. I suffered from similar metabolic conditions that many people have today. I followed a Standard American Diet "SAD diet", ate everything in moderation, along with regular exercise but still struggled to keep my weight down. Despite my best effort, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes in February 2017.
After I adopt a Low-Carb and applying intermittent fasting strategy, my extra pounds came off without extra exercise. My pre-diabetes has been resolved naturally over 3 years now. At our clinic, we definitive encourage everyone to stop eating Standard American Diet. We support various dietary patterns from Paleo, Low-Carb, Keto, and Carnivore. We also integrate intermittent fast strategies along with physical activity to optimize health and wellbeing.
If you are suffering from, or struggling with, metabolic conditions such as being overweight, fatty liver, PCOS, pre-diabetes, diabetes, cholesterol dysfunction, heart disease, autoimmune diseases, family history of such diseases or just wanting to avoid them, I want show you the right way to nourish your body, obtaining good health & well-being through healthy living.
